The LA Lakers suffered their first loss of the season against the Golden State Warriors on the opening night of the NBA season.

While a plethora of problems could be attributed to the team's poor performance, fans paid particular attention to the team's miserable shooting from the perimeter.

The Purple and Gold put on a disappointing showing at the Chase Center on Tuesday. Coming away with a 109-123 loss, the Lakers were completely outclassed by the defending champions.

While the Lakers' superstar trio managed to contribute a significant amount of points to the team's efforts, the role players fell horribly short of the mark.

Considering that the Purple and Gold underwent a major roster overhaul in the offseason, the team naturally experienced chemistry issues.

However, their troubles on the floor highlighted an issue that has needed attention over the past two seasons.

The LA Lakers had a nightmare performance from beyond the three-point line, going 10-40 from beyond the arc.

While their impressive exchange with the Dubs in the fourth quarter inspired some hope, the Lakers struggled to get going as a unit.

Whether this involved wide-open looks or ill-advised shots, the Purple and Gold were completely off their rhythm for the majority of the game.

The LA Lakers' poor shooting could be a one-off as the team finds their rhythm. However, fans were merciless while reacting to the team's display.

Here are some of the best Twitter reactions to the Lakers' shooting woes:

The Lakers' poor three-point shooting was only matched by their poor decision making and turnovers. With all the contributing factors in place, they were bound to fail.

Having started their season off with a loss, the Purple and Gold will have to make some adjustments going forward. However, this task might be difficult considering their slightly shorthanded roster.

If there is anything that can be taken away from the LA Lakers' display against the Golden State Warriors, it's that not much has changed. While the organization has made some personnel changes and has acquired some new talent, the team continues to suffer from the same issues.

By virtue of signing a large majority of their players in the offseason, the Purple and Gold face significant chemistry issues. With new personnel every season, the players haven't had the chance to settle into a groove with each other.

Meanwhile, the LA Lakers have once again failed to acquire established and top-quality perimeter shooters. Considering the success LeBron James has had with shooters on his side, the Lakers have missed the mark of creating a roster built for success.

Additionally, the team remains relatively disappointing on the defensive side of things. While opening night saw some impressive flashes from Anthony Davis and other players, the Lakers haven't fulfilled a lot of the goals set up by Darvin Ham.

Tuesday night's performance was reminiscent of the Lakers from last season. This will be an aspect that the team will hope to change in the coming days.
