"Why should I believe they're going to get Jimmy when they couldn't get either Paul George or Lauri Markkanen?" the fan posted.
"Adding an expensive, old, oft-injured player ... hopefully it's only a concept of a plan," the fan posted.
"No, sir, Mr. Journalist. Jimmy is an inconsistent baller full of on and off performances," the fan posted.
"Just put a solid roster around Steph rather than stars and scrubs. I feel the same way about LeBron. They need competent role players," the fan posted.
Despite his past of dealing with frequent injuries, Butler is still a top-tier player on both offense and defense in the NBA. He has continued to showcase some of his top basketball skills once the playoffs start.
The Warriors are searching for additional quality players to surround Steph Curry as he nears the end of his career, aiming to build a strong team.
Miami Heat assistant coach talked about the team preferring to have Jimmy Butler on their squad
During an appearance on the Locked on Heat podcast, Miami Heat assistant coach Caron Butler shed some light on the outlook heading into the upcoming season. He also shared the organization's preference to have Jimmy Butler remain with the team.
"I think Jimmy's just ready to play basketball," Butler said. "I think at this point, it's all about winning with him. We know he loves being in Miami. We love him being in Miami. And I just think that it's going to be a fun season."
Jimmy Butler was originally acquired by the Heat in 2019 and has since been a pivotal piece of the team's success. He has led them to two Finals appearances in the five seasons he has been on the team.
However, he has still not delivered a title to the organization, continuing the championship drought since 2013. Amid all the whispers of trades going around the league, Caron Butler wanted to set the record straight.
