LeBron James is the greatest scorer in NBA history. He's also trying to become the greatest basketball player of all time by surpassing the legendary Michael Jordan.

Whether James ends his career as the GOAT or not, no one can deny that it's been incredible. He's achieved so much in his glorious career, yet he's never had any major scandal or controversy that has ruined his image.

Charles Barkley, another legendary player, believes that the LA Lakers forward has the greatest story in sports history. Considering how astonishing James has been so far, it's hard to disagree with Barkley.

Back in 2003, LeBron was considered the best young basketball player in the country. He's had to deal with a lot of pressure since high school, but hasn't let it affect his success.

Thanks to his amazing performances, James became the first pick in the 2003 NBA draft and has added numerous trophies to his cabinet since then. LeBron is currently in his 20th NBA season, yet has shown no signs of slowing down.

Charles Barkley, a legendary forward who spent 16 years in the NBA, recently praised LeBron James. Here's what he said regarding James' fantastic career:

"No scandal. To be number one, ready at 18, to where he is 20 years later, the greatest scorer in NBA history," Barkley said. "I think it’s the greatest story in sports history. For a guy to be that good from day one and never screw up is amazing."

LeBron was indeed ready at 18. While many other players were undeveloped coming into the NBA, James wasn't. He ended up winning the Rookie of the Year award after averaging 20.9 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game.

The 6-foot-9 forward has always played under a lot of pressure, even before he was drafted. When the Cavaliers drafted him in 2003, many fans and analysts had high expectations for James, but he failed to meet them in the first few years in the league.

LeBron James eventually won two championships with the Miami Heat and also led the Cleveland Cavaliers to the promised land for the first time in franchise history.

James has won a championship with each team he's played for, including the LA Lakers. While he's played for three different teams in his 20-year NBA career, it's important to note that he's never requested a trade. LeBron has always played through his contract, which is very rare.
