Golden State Warriors' defensive struggles continue on the road

The Golden State Warriors' defense hasn't been up to the mark this season, especially on the road. They have conceded 123.8 points per game on the road this year, the second-worst record in the NBA. They allowed 134 points against the LA Clippers, who rank 22nd in the league in points per game this year, averaging 112.2 points.

It's been the same story for the Warriors all season, who don't seem as locked in defensively as they are at home. Their lack of depth remains a concern following the offseason departures of Otto Porter Jr., Nemanja Bjelica, Juan Toscano-Anderson and Gary Payton II, who returned to the team at the trade deadline but hasn't played yet due to injury.

The Golden State Warriors were undersized against the LA Clippers, who dominated on the boards. The Clippers had eight more rebounds and 16 offensive boards in the game, giving them multiple chances on offense. That led to the Clippers getting eight more shots than the Warriors, helping them overcome their inefficiency.

The Clippers also showed more aggression on offense, exploiting the Warriors' lack of size and getting to the line 32 times compared to the Dubs' 15 trips. LA put up a better team effort as six players scored in double digits, all scoring over 15 points apiece.
