LA Lakers rookie Bronny James isn't exempt from rookie hazing, despite having his father, LeBron James, on the same team. During the Sunday Lakers' 107-98 win against the Portland Trail Balzers, a clip showed the younger James being forced to give up his seat for his All-Star teammate.

Rookies always have to give up their seats for the veteran stars. The junior James had first-hand experience of this treatment with big man Anthony Davis, who interrupted the guard's time sitting next to his father. With just one look, the former USC guard knew he had to stand up and give AD his seat.

Fans had fun on social media after seeing the Lakers guard treated similarly to the other rookies in the NBA.

Bronny James' Opening Night jersey sold at auction

While Bronny James hasn't put up an impressive stat line during his rookie run, fans still recognize his historic achievement. On Thursday, Dec. 5, the young player's jersey and his father's No. 23 jersey were auctioned off at Sotheby’s.

According to the British-founded auction house, the pair of father-son jerseys were sold for $102k. Sotheby’s said the jersey from the four-time champion was worn by the star during two preseason games, on Oct. 10 and 15. James also wore the same jersey on Media Day and on Opening Night, October 22, when the club defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 110-103.

On the other hand, Sotheby's is unsure if the rookie James wore the same jersey throughout the game. The firm attributed the jersey to the second half, but Bronny wore a warmup jacket and didn't play in the half. According to the auction house, he also had the jersey on him on Media Day and during preseason games (Oct. 4, Oct. 10, Oct. 17 and Oct. 18).

James finished with 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists in the season opener. In contrast, his son played for nearly three minutes and only managed one rebound.
