Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo seemed particularly ecstatic after his team's latest win. Riding on the emotions of the win, Antetokounmpo expressed how his love for basketball was the same as his love for his family.

The Milwaukee Bucks have been on an absolute tear since the start of January. Antetokounmpo has been the driving force behind their success.

They notched up their 15th straight win against Brooklyn, after which Antetokounmpo spoke to NBC Sports' Zora Stephenson about the joy he gets from winning.

"It's really fun. We haven't done it in a long time. Right now we're playing great basketball, we're playing together. Guys are making shots. We're defending. We're out there competing and we do whatever it takes to win and we're building good habits. So it's fun. It's fun right now."

When asked about how he plays through injury, Antetokounmpo said:

"I just love the game of basketball. I have my family, my kids, my brothers, obviously. But like, it's not the same without basketball. I just love the game of basketball. I love being out here with my teammates competing. I love winning games."
"Obviously there's going to be a lot of that in injuries, you've got to listen to your body. I'm just happy I'm able to be out here with my teammates. I'm happy that we were able to get this win and I'm happy to be healthy."

Giannis has battled through multiple injuries this season. Although it has taken its toll on his body, the Bucks superstar hasn't backed down.

With 15 consecutive wins, the Bucks are finally back on top of the Eastern Conference leaderboard.

Giannis Antetokounmpo makes a strong case for MVP

Giannis Antetokounmpo has once again brought the Milwaukee Bucks into the title picture. As such, he is one of the favorites to win the MVP award.

Antetokounmpo has put up astronomical numbers this season. With 31.3 points, 12.0 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game, the Greek is truly in a league of his own.

Considering the position Milwaukee is in and the way the team's been performing, it's a no-brainer that Antetokounmpo is in the MVP race.

However, the competition is stiff this season. With the likes of Nikola Jokic, Joel Embiid, and Jayson Tatum in the picture as well, Giannis will have his work cut out for him.
