Golden State Warriors vs Boston Celtics Game Summary

In the first quarter, the Boston Celtics took control of the game early courtesy of Derrick White with 12 quick points. He made three 3-point shots to give Boston an 11-point lead. The Warriors' defense kept the team afloat as the Celtics had a 24-19 lead after one.

Golden State's bench corps came in to provide a lot of spark and the team's overall play improved in the second quarter with a 16-3 run. The Celtics' defense also picked it up to prevent any more damage. However, the Warriors ended the first half with a 51-40 advantage.

Boston was more aggressive in the third quarter to keep the game close led by Jayson Tatum. The Boston Celtics did enough to trim the lead to just a point after the first three quarters. Tatum had 16 points in the period, playing inspired ball after what happened under Steve Kerr and Team USA.

However, the Golden State Warriors were too much in the end as Steph Curry and Buddy Hield put the dagger into the hearts of Celtics fans. Kevon Looney's two crucial putbacks were also vital in Golden State's six-point win.

The Golden State Warriors improved to 7-1 on the season, surprising many fans who thought that they would be mediocre due to the departure of Klay Thompson. They are also 5-0 on the road already, showing that they can win away from the Chase Center.

After Wednesday's game, Golden State still has a tough schedule for their next three games. They visit the undefeated Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday before going to Oklahoma City to face the Thunder. They will return home on Tuesday to welcome the Dallas Mavericks to start the 2024-25 NBA Play-In Tournament.
