Brandin Podziemski shared a short and cryptic post on Saturday with just "2028" written accompanied by an eyes emoji. With the 2024 Paris Olympics going on, it may be that the Golden State Warriors guard was hinting about eyeing to make an appearance for Team USA at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

Reacting to the cryptic post on X, many fans roasted Podziemski for seemingly eyeing being a member of Team USA for the next Olympics four years ahead.

"You gon be the Hali of this team at best," a fan tweeted, referring to Tyrese Haliburton.

"2028 stats: 237 hand claps, 16 bottles passes, 39 'good jobs', 28 bags carried," a fan tweeted.
"Yea ant and Tatum need waters passed," a fan tweeted.
"You playing for Narnia?" a fan tweeted.
"You could genuinely play in the 3x3 but you ain’t making the main squad bro," a fan tweeted.
"He gonna try to get Polish citizenship," a fan tweeted.

Though Brandin Podziemski still has a long way to go for the U.S. men's national basketball team consideration, four years can be a sufficient amount of time for a player of his caliber to evolve to fit to represent Team USA for the 2028 Olympics.

The 21-year-old landed in the All-Rookie First Team for his performance in the 2023-24 season, averaging 9.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists while shooting 45.4% from the field and 38.5% from beyond the arc.

Brandin Podziemski was chosen for USA Select Team roster ahead of 2024 Paris Olympics

Brandin Podziemski was one of the fifteen players listed on the USA select team that trained with the USA men's basketball team as it prepared for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Though the select team is curated to help Team USA prepare for the Olympics, it is also an opportunity for the selected players to gain invaluable experience, competing against some of the greatest players of all time and being surrounded by surefire Hall of Fame coaches.

"You can't get anything better than that," Brandin Podziemski said about playing for the select team.
"I think for a US basketball player, especially in the summer, you always want to play against the best and compete against the best and show what you got. You learn from this and take what you can from this and apply it for the rest of the summer leading into your season."

Being chosen to the select team has been a path toward Team USA for many players throughout the years. Six members of Team USA's original roster for the Paris Olympics have been on past select teams, including Devin Booker (2016), Kevin Durant (2008), Anthony Edwards (2021), Tyrese Haliburton (2021), Jrue Holiday (2012) and Kawhi Leonard (2012).
