Gradey Dick had his moments on Sunday as the Toronto Raptors went down 116-123-103 to the LA Lakers at the Crypto.com Arena on Sunday (Nov. 10). The guard started for the side and propped up 14 points, but it wasn't enough to see the team through as the Lakers swept the regular seasons series against Toronto.
Dick had six points to end the first half as the Raptors propped up a slender 55-53 lead. He later added eight more to the tally including two splashes from the deep to help Toronto stay in the fight. He ended his evening with one rebound and three assists.
The Raptors were led by RJ Barrett (18 points) and also had Ochai Agbaji and Jakob Poeltl propping up 16 and 14 points each. Dick was in the points early on as he dropped three buckets to mark his contributions to the side. The loss now sees the Raptors slide to 2-9 this season.

For LA., it was another 'LeBronto' James performance as he rolled out another triple-double (19 points, 10 rebounds, and 16 assists) to help the Lakers extend their winning streak at home. They are 5-0 at the Crypto.com Arena and 6-4 overall.
Toronto Raptors vs LA Lakers recap: Gradey Dick's double 3s weren't enough to get the visitors back in the game
Gradey Dick set the tone for the Toronto Raptors early in the third quarter when he drained two 3s as they looked to extend the lead that they had since the start of the contest. However, a gritty defensive display from LA led by LeBron James saw them take over on both ends of the floor as Toronto started lagging.
Their subpar defense was exposed again as James, Austin Reaves, and Jaxson Hayes made full use of scoring in the paint. As for the guard, it has been a decent season so far with the Raptors as he averages 20.0 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.2 rebounds on 46.1% shooting.
He has been one of their key offensive weapons behind RJ Barrett as they wait for Scottie Barnes to return to action. Dick has also been shooting a healthy 35.4% from the deep as the young Raptors outfit continues to try and rack up wins amid their rebuild.
Gradey Dick and the Raptors take on the equally struggling Milwaukee Bucks at the Fiserv Forum on Nov. 12. They head back home after to host the Detroit Pistons.
