Ronnie 2k joined the Stephen A. Smith Show where Stephen A. asked about Kyrie Irving's rating. Irving was given a 92 overall score in NBA 2k25, which makes him one of the 20 players with a value of 90 or better. However, Smith seems to think that number is a little low.
The controversial host argued that Irving deserves a higher rating, especially if WNBA rookie Caitlin Clark was given a 91. He also cited Kyrie's remarkable on-ball skills as the reason why he should be rated higher.
Ronnie 2k then shared why Irving is currently where he's at ratings-wise.
"I mean that guy does everything," Ronnie 2k said. "I think that Kyrie was kind of hurt a little bit by sample size. He kind of disappeared in Boston and I think that moving over he's kind of had a rejuvenation but like, maybe it's still a little work in progress."

Ronnie 2k then said Irving could raise his overall value. The social media influencer stated as long as Irving remains happy with the Mavs and can duplicate his past success, he can climb to the mid-90s. [55:50 mark]
Ronnie 2k, or the "face of NBA 2k," is the Digital Marketing Director for the NBA 2k brand. This likely means he has little control over who gets what rating.
However, he stood by his team's decision to give Irving a 92.

What are the ratings of Kyrie Irving's Dallas Mavericks teammates?
Kyrie Irving isn't the only Maverick rated above 90. Luka Doncic is rated a 97 overall. This value ties Luka with Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo as the game's top-rated players.
Luka and Kyrie are the only Mavs rated higher than 90. Three of their teammates rate in the low 80s. Daniel Gafford, who is likely their starting center, is an 81 overall.
Klay Thompson, an off-season acquisition, is also at 81. Second-year player Dereck Lively II is the final Dallas player rated at 80 or higher.
Lineup-wise, Irving, Doncic, Gafford and Thompson will probably start for Dallas, while Lively II will be the team's sixth man. The Mavs' final starting spot will likely go to P.J. Washington, who is rated at 79 overall.
