NBA fans went wild after New York Knicks rookie Tyler Kolek pulled off an insane move to get an assist in the Las Vegas Summer League. New York took on the Detroit Pistons on Friday and secured their second win of the summer. All eyes were on Kolek after his circus pass during the opening quarter of the game.Kolek hasn't found his rhythm this summer. In the four games he's played, he's only had one game where he scored double digits. Luckily for the team, his shooting isn't the only way he can contribute. During his first three games of the summer, he's dished out at least five assists in each game.He may not be aggressive in scoring the basket, but he's got a high basketball IQ to make him an excellent floor general. In their 91-90 win against the Pistons, Kolek pulled off a crazy 360-degree assist that led to a corner three-pointer.Fans immediately went online to react to the Knicks rookie's assist."He’s channeling his inner Brunson," one fan said."360 jump assist you can’t even do ts in 2k😂😂," one fan pointed out the difficulty of Kolek's move."360 no scoping in summer league we move," another fan couldn't believe what he saw.Others shared how they're looking forward to seeing the rookie play for New York next season."Him and Donte boutta be 🔥🔥 can’t wait," one fan commented."Leon got another demon 😮‍💨," another fan said."Word on the street is Brunson took a pay cut so nyk could sign this deamon long term," one fan joked.Tyler Kolek might not get minutes with the Knicks after their recent signingThe Knicks have signed veteran point guard Cameron Payne on a one-year deal. With their signing, they now have three facilitators in the rotation, as Miles McBride is still on the team and had a breakout year last season. This leaves the rookie guard a questionable fit for the team. Many expect Kolek not to have playing time next season as New York is focused on contending for the title.McBride's role in the team might also be diminished as Payne has more experience and will likely get a huge chunk of playing time. He averaged 9.3 points, 1.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 31 games for the Philadelphia 76ers last season. He was traded by the Milwaukee Bucks midway through the 2023-24 season.
