Aside from being a pillar for the NBA for the past two decades, LeBron James uses his platform to talk about big-picture issues. The 20-time All-Star recently took to social media to share his thoughts on the outcome of the presidential election.

On Tuesday, Americans hit the polls to cast their votes on who they felt should become the next president of the United States. While it has not been fully confirmed, Donald Trump is projected to win the race with Vice President Kamala Harris.

LeBron James is one of the many people to voice their thoughts online about the outcome of the election. The LA Lakers star posted a photo of himself holding his daughter Zhuri along with a heartfelt caption.

"HEAVY ON MY HEART & MIND THIS AM MY PRINCESS!! PROMISE TO PROTECT YOU WITH EVERYTHING I HAVE AND MORE!! WE DONT NEED THEIR HELP!"

Similar to a handful of his NBA counterparts, LeBron endorsed Kamala Harris on social media leading up to Tuesday's election. His post gained a lot of traction, including a response from former President Barack Obama.

LeBron James and Donald Trump have storied history

During his first term as president, Donald Trump had feuds with numerous people in the NBA. Most notably Steph Curry, Steve Kerr and the Golden State Warriors. Trump took multiple shots at them in the past for declining his White House Invitation after winning the NBA championship. That said, LeBron James is another big name he's feuded with over the years.

Their main back-and-forth between the two prominent figures happened during the summer of 2018. It began when the Lakers forward did an interview with CNN and touched on how he feels Trump is using sports to try and divide the country. These comments stemmed from the Colin Kaepernick's kneeling saga with the national anthem and Trump's ordeal with Curry.

“What I’ve noticed over the past few months,” James shared with CNN’s Don Lemon during a sit-down interview on Monday. “(Is) he’s kinda used sports to kinda divide us, and that’s something that I can’t relate to.”

Trump did not take kindly to what LeBron James had to say and ended up responding to the remarks a week later. He took a shot at the NBA star's intelligence while also stating Michael Jordan is the greatest player ever.

Based on his old statements and social media post on Wednesday, it's fair to assume LeBron isn't pleased with the election's outcome.
