The Golden State Warriors pulled off a gritty 99-93 home win on Thursday against the Houston Rockets. With Steph Curry and Draymond Green cheering on the sidelines, Jonathan Kuminga delivered a career-high 33 points to lead the Dubs to victory. Golden State extended its winning streak against Houston to 15 straight games.

Andrew Wiggins also stepped up to help Kuminga carry the team. He had 22 points, nine rebounds, two assists and two steals. Brandin Podziemski had eight points, 12 rebounds, three assists and several key defensive plays.

Alperen Sengun led the Rockets with 16 points, eight rebounds, five assists and two steals. Houston's inability to hit open shots was costly. Fred Van Vleet and Jalen Green combined for 27 points on 9-for-32 shooting, including 3-for-14 from deep.

Houston Rockets vs Golden State Warriors Game Summary

The Houston Rockets hoped to avenge a 127-121 overtime loss to the Golden State Warriors in early November in their rematch on Thursday. Steph Curry, who did not play in the first meeting, was ruled out for the second head-to-head encounter. Draymond Green was also in street clothes for the rematch.

The Rockets had several opportunities to take control of the first quarter but missed some wide-open shots. They got going late and uncorked a 17-4 runt to end the period. Houston led 22-18 after the first 12 minutes ended.

Andrew Wiggins came alive in the second quarter, scoring 12 points, including a 4-point play with 12.2 seconds left. He also blocked Amen Thompson's corner 3-point attempt to drag the Warriors to a 49-43 halftime lead.

The Warriors continued to play a slow, deliberate game to keep the Rockets at bay. Steve Kerr's ploy worked as the hosts took a 73-66 lead heading into the last 12 minutes of the game.

The seesaw battle continued in the fourth quarter. Sengun had 12 points but Jonathan Kuminga and Andrew Wiggins had an answer to Houstons' desperate attempts to rally for a win. Golden State scored enough clutch baskets to win 99-93.
