After a great start to the season, Anthony Davis is out due to injury once again. Like most other players, Davis has suffered various injuries throughout his career. However, AD's luck with being sidelined is relatively low, as he always manages to hurt himself every year. According to Fox Sports, "The Brow" became injury-prone at the young age of 23.

There's always been a misconception that if a person is young, their body should be more robust. But that's not always the case. Unfortunately, for others, no matter how young one can be, it all boils down to the body's durability. Some people are naturally born with weaker bones and muscles. That said, Anthony Davis might just be a part of that population.

As of today, AD is 29 years old. He's turning 30 come March 11, 2023. The fact that he is already injury-prone at such a young age could worsen now that he's limping toward his 30s.

Anthony Davis is notoriously known for being an injury-prone player. Davis has never played in all 82 games of any season in his career. The most number of games AD missed were back in the 2020-21 NBA season when he only managed to play 36 games. Davis missed nearly the same number of games last season, too, since he only played 40.

This year, fans thought the LA Lakers were finally going to witness a healthy Anthony Davis all season long. There were even some nail-biting moments wherein it appeared as if Davis was going to get injured. However, AD's luck has seemingly run out, as he recently suffered a right foot injury.

Shams Charania reported that "The Brow" is expected to be out for at least a month.

Davis recently acquired the injury on December 17 when the Lakers took on the Denver Nuggets. AD only managed to play in the first half before the injury occurred. He finished the game with 10 points, four rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block. It's an unfortunate situation for LA, considering AD's currently leading the team in points and rebounds.

According to the NBA, Davis was already considered a part of the Kia MVP race this season. His impeccable performances as of late have helped him become a worthy contender for the award. As of December 17, AD is averaging 27.4 points, 12.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 2.1 blocks and 1.3 steals per game. Being sidelined for a month could hurt his chances of climbing the MVP ranks.
