Kemba Walker participated in every game during his first year at the University of Connecticut and was selected for the Big East All-Rookie Team.

In the 2009 NCAA tournament, he assisted the Huskies in earning the top seed. He also contributed to the Huskies' 2009 Final Four run with a 23-point performance against Missouri in the Elite Eight.

During his rookie season for UConn, Walker averaged 8.9 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. He played an average of 25.2 minutes per game despite only making two starts, greatly above any typical non-starter.

Walker started all 34 of the Huskies' games in the 2009–2010 season. With 18 points against Virginia Tech, he also led the team in scoring for the eighth time in the final nine games of the season. In the 2010 NCAA National Invitation Tournament, Connecticut secured the fourth seed but lost to Virginia Tech.

Walker was named by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) to the First Team All-District in his sophomore year. The young point guard averaged 14.6 points, 5.1 assists, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.1 steals per game.

In his third year in Connecticut, Kemba Walker became well-known on a national level. This was due to the fact that 12 games into his junior season, he distinguished himself as the top scorer in the country. Walker averaged 26.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.8 assists in 12 games.

Walker defeated the third-ranked Pittsburgh Panthers with a game-winning shot at the buzzer in the 2011 Big East tournament. The victory sent the Huskies on to the semifinals. He then won tournament MVP honors by leading UConn to victory over the Louisville Cardinals in the subsequent Big East Championship.

Walker scored 130 points in just five games, setting a record for both the Big East and any conference tournament during the previous 15 seasons. UConn became the first university to win a conference championship and five games in a row.

To sum everything up, Kemba Walker's college career was legendary. It's no wonder he eventually became a star in the NBA.
