Kyrie then requested a trade and ended up with the Boston Celtics, but only spent two years there as he dealt with some controversy. During his two years in Boston, he averaged 24.4 points in his first season and 23.8 in his second.

However, there was a lot more to Kyrie Irving's decision to leave the Boston Celtics. The fans' treatment of him was inexcusable, and it drove him to refuse to play for the city any longer.

We’re the ones expected to be docile and be humble, take a humble approach, f--- that, it’s the playoffs. This is what it is,” Irving added
