Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard has made quite the name for himself in the NBA. Lillard was drafted as the sixth pick in the 2012 NBA draft. The guard took the league by storm and carved out a name for himself as one of the most clutch players in the game.
In a matter of a few years, however, Lillard started off on a new journey off the court as well. With the birth of his first child, Damian Jr. in 2018, Lillard and his then-girlfriend Kay'La Hanson embarked on a new journey as parents.
It wasn't long before Lillard welcomed more kids to the world. In January 2021, Hanson and Lillard had twins, a daughter named Kali and a son named Kalii. Following the birth of their twins, Lillard and Hanson tied the knot in the same year.
Damian Lillard's activities outside of basketball
Damian Lillard has been quite impactful outside the basketball court. He pursued an education while being an active player and appears to have put that to good use.
The Trail Blazers star has often been referred to by his rap name "Dame D.O.L.L.A". Linked to the trend "Four Bar Friday", Lillard often shared a small verse he created on his Instagram every week.
With regards to giving back to the community, he started the RESPECT Program to help high school students in Portland graduate. He has sponsorships with brands such as Powerade, Biofreeze, and Foot Locker.
Lillard also became a co-owner of a Toyota dealership in 2020. The dealership has since been referred to as Damian Lillard Toyota in Oregon.
