“I am terminating my association with Donda sports” – Celtic’s All-Star switches his stance on association with Donda Sports within 24 hrs; apologizes for his insensitive public remarks earlier

Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics has made some outrageous comments throughout the past few days about the whole situation with Kanye West. He spoke about these issues because he was signed to Donda, which is run by Kanye West.

Kanye West has come out and said some horrible things about multiple different races and religions throughout the past few months and his recent comments about Jewish people have sent people over the edge and rightfully so. Unfortunately, these issues should have been prevalent throughout Kanye's career as he's said some outrageous things prior to these comments that should have warranted the same type of backlash.

Jaylen Brown released the following statement about how he messed up with some of his comments and is no longer going to be associated with Kanye West or the Donda brand.

"In the past 24 hours, I've been able to reflect and better understand how my previous statements lack clarity in expressing my stance against recent insensitive public remarks and actions. For that, I apologize. And in this, I seek to be as clear as possible. I have always, and will always, continue to stand strongly against any antisemitism, hate speech, misrepresentation, and oppressive rhetoric of any kind. In light of that, after sharing in conversations, I now recognize that there are times when my voice and my position can't coexist in spaces that don't correspond with my stance or my values. And, for that reason, I am terminating my association with Donda Sports. I do seek to continue providing mentorship, love, and support to the incredible children, faculty, and young athletes with whom I've been grateful to form bonds and relationships with during my time with Donda Academy."

Jaylen Brown Done with Kanye West

It's good to see Jaylen Brown retract his statement here and try to learn and better himself about what is really going on. Saying the things that Kanye West did are completely unacceptable by anybody in the world.

The reality of the situation is that famous people get away with way too much sometimes with some of their comments, but it's time to start holding them accountable for their actions. These are very hurtful things that Kanye West has said in the past, which is not the right thing to do. He's a famous person, which means some people out there do look up to him and could even possibly believe the same type of thing that he says because he's the one saying it.

Jaylen Brown will now have an interesting decision to make about who he is going to decide to represent him. There's a good chance that he could go to organizations like Clutch or some of the other top-end NBA agents in the world.

He will likely have to make a decision sometime soon just so he's represented by somebody. That decision will hopefully be a better one than the one he had currently made deciding to sign with Kanye West.

On the court, the Boston Celtics have been able to play great basketball throughout the first few games of the season and hopefully, he can put this stuff behind him and just focus on playing basketball at an elite level as he has the past few years.
