Kyrie Irving might not play in the NBA again: Anonymous NBA GM makes bold claim about Brooklyn Nets' guard

Kyrie Irving is known for voicing his opinions on all topics, and his latest stunt might cost him his career. Following recent developments, some are beginning to wonder if he'll ever step foot in the NBA again.

Last week, the Brooklyn Nets guard posted a link to an antisemitic movie on his Twitter that had everyone around the league buzzing. The organization released a personal statement on the situation, and so did commissioner Adam Silver.

In his first media availability following the Tweet, Kyrie Irving did little to show remorse for his actions. This led the Nets to suspend him for five games without pay, and stated a list of requirements he must meet before he can return.

Over the years, the former No. 1 pick has had his fair share of off-the-court distractions. Most notably, last season when he refused to get the Covid-19 vaccine and was a part-time player.

Following this ordeal, Sam Amick of The Athletic did an anonymous poll with GM's around the league regarding the Nets star. It was there that one stated that they felt the 30-year-old has played in the last game of his career.

"I think Kyrie might not play in the NBA again," said another general manager.

"He's the opposite of a commodity, which is what you want a player who's getting paid that much to be," one general manager said.

At 30-years-old, Kyrie Irving still has a few years left in him as a star-level talent. He has proven he is still a high-impact player in the league, but the only problem is his constant inavailability.

After everything that happened last week, it's hard to disagree that this could be the end of his NBA career. The Brooklyn Nets might be willing to finish out the season with him, but after that it's a mystery.

Teams might want Kyrie Irving the player on their team, but it's doubtful any organization will take on the baggage that comes with him. At this stage of his career, his production on the floor doesn't outweigh the distractions he causes away from the game.

When Meyers Leonard was caught saying antisemitic slurs last year, he was quickly fined and sent away from the team. Since then, he has not come close to getting another chance in the NBA. While Irving might be a better talent, he might suffer the same fate in the near future.
