“If you don’t know Pat then you don’t know Pat” - Anthony Davis responds to Patrick Beverley’s comments

Anthony Davis and the LA Lakers will face Patrick Beverley for the first time since the trade deadline.

Patrick Beverley will take on Anthony Davis and the LA Lakers for the first time since the point guard was traded to the Orlando Magic. “Pat Bev” eventually agreed to a buyout with the Magic before signing for his home team, the Chicago Bulls.

Since agreeing to play for the Bulls, Beverley has had some interesting things to say about the Lakers.

Here’s what Davis had to say about the feisty guard as a teammate and his comments regarding the Lakers:

“It was great [Beverley as a teammate]. Pat is Pat. If you don’t know Pat then you don’t know Pat. I expected nothing less from anything that Pat Bev said. I’ve known him outside of basketball.
"Obviously, we come from the same city. … We don’t look too deep into it. I know him though, so it’s Pat being Pat.”

In one of his podcasts, Patrick Beverley had this to highlight about his stint with the LA Lakers:

“It wasn’t basketball. It wasn’t basketball. It was other s–t. But other s–t that you really can’t like pin or point out. You know, comes and goes. You know, a little bit here, a little bit there."

Beverley added:

“The vibes were sometimes on, sometimes off. Inconsistent vibes lead to inconsistent play.”

“Pat Bev’s” comments were different from what he was telling the media when he was in Hollywood. He clapped back at fans who commented about the Lakers’ disarray and chaos.

Patrick Beverley also divulged something that most basketball fans did not expect. Beverley revealed what happened behind the trade that saw him leave Los Angeles for Florida:

"To some people it could be that Pat Bev got traded, when in all reality, I didn't like what was going on, and let's find a better home for me. Not so that, 'He ain't good enough, let's get rid of him.' All that s--t was my decision."

Anthony Davis, however, will not be baited into saying anything against his former teammate. The superstar big man is someone who knows the NBA journeyman very well and would not dwell too much into his comments.

Anthony Davis and the LA Lakers will be looking to beat the Chicago Bulls in back-to-back games

Anthony Davis declared after their win against the OKC Thunder last Friday that they will treat every game as a must-win situation. He further added that the Lakers will look at their remaining schedule as a series of Game 7s.

Those Game 7s will start with back-to-back matchups against Patrick Beverley and the Chicago Bulls. Tonight's game will be at Crypto.com Arena while the next one on Wednesday will be at the United Center in Chicago.

Anthony Davis played great in their win over the Thunder. He will be looking to put in the same performance against former teammate Patrick Beverley.
