Through out his career, Aaron Gordon has built up an incredible highlight reel of dunks. That said, he went out of his way to honor arguably his best poster slam.
On Christmas Day 2022, the Denver Nuggets found themselves in an overtime thriller against the Phoenix Suns. With less than a minute to go in the game, Aaron Gordon capped off the game in incredible fashion. After securing a rebound, he ran the length of the floor and dunked over a defenseless Landry Shamet under the rim.
Over the summer, Gordon decided to honor this highlight in an interesting way. He had a diamond chain made of him dunking on Shamet.
The poster dunk on Shamet capped off one of Gordon's best games in the regular season. He played 41 minutes against the Phoenix Suns that night and posted a stat line of 28 points, 13 rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block.

When Aaron Gordon wanted something special to honor this moment, he went to his jeweller and good friend Buckz The Jewler. He quickly began working on the diamond chain, but it was a prokect that took up a lot of time and energy.
The end result was a 6.54 carat necklace perfectly portraying Gordon's dunk over Landry Shamet. When asked about how long it took him to put it all together, the jeweller admitted the project took him and his group close to a month to make.
"This pendant took me and my team 504 hours to bring every last detail to life," Buckz told TMZ. "I knew I had to capture that all-time great moment on a pendant."
The most absurd thing about this interaction is that Buckz ended up handing over the necklace for free. In his eyes, it was repayment for the Denver Nuggets forward being a good friend and giving him business early on in his career.
Before asking for the necklace, Buckz made a gold grill for Gordon. After being pleased with his work, he continued to go to him. The up-in-coming jeweler said in the interview that the poster chain would have cost somewhere in the range of $20,000.
Along with getting it for free, Gordon now will always have something to remember one of the top highlights of his career.
