Victor Wembanyama is enjoying the offseason in France with his family. The San Antonio Spurs star posted a series of pictures on his social media from his beach gateway with his sister and friends. One of the things that stood out from those pictures was his new braided hairstyle.
In the first picture, posted on his Instagram, he was seen taking in the scenery. In the next two pictures, his friends were seen carrying their surfing boards.
The fourth picture showed his braids clearly. He was sitting with his sister in the picture, who was sipping a drink. In the last picture, Wembanyama was playing soccer with his friends on the beachside.

The French star won a silver medal in the Paris Olympics in August. The French team faced Team USA, led by LeBron James and Kevin Durant, in the gold medal game. Given his meteoric rise, the sky seems to be the limit for the Spurs star.
Patrick Beverley makes a big claim about Victor Wembanyama
Victor Wembanyama had a legitimate chance to win the Defensive Player of the Year last season. The 2024 Rookie Of The Year averaged 3.6 blocks per game, 1.2 blocks more than Walker Kessler at the second spot.
Wemby lived up to the hype that was created around him. From an almost insane ability to dribble and shoot like a guard to defending like the best defensive player in the league, the Spurs rookie was in his own category.
Former LA Clippers star Patrick Beverley made a big claim on his podcast "Pat Bev Podcast." When Beverley's co-host Adam Ferrone asked him to list his top five centers in the league, Beverley didn't mention Wembanyama.
"Jokic is No. 1. Joel Embiid is No. 2, and I'm only doing that because Jokic has won a championship," Beverley said. "If Jokic didn't win a championship, Joel Embiid would be my No. 1."
"Big Zu is a friend of mine. He's for sure top five…That leaves me two positions, probably three and four," Beverley said. "I'm gonna go Anthony Davis first, then Bam."
When Ferrone interrupted Beverley for not mentioning Wemby, the former NBA guard said that Wembanyama was a positionless player and was going to be the best player in the league next year.
“He is everthing, like you can’t even put him in comparison with other people. He is the best player in the NBA next year … he is positionless,” Beverley added.
Although Wembanyama has played just one season in the NBA, Beverley's prediction doesn't seem too outlandish. Last season, he averaged 21.4 points per game, 10.6 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 3.6 blocks per game.
