Anthony Davis is listed as probable to play in Wednesday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. The nine-time NBA All-Star is on the injury report again, citing left plantar fasciitis. Davis sustained that injury on Nov. 4 against the Detroit Pistons. He aggravated a pre-existing ailment on his left foot after a hard landing on that leg during the fourth quarter of the 115-103 loss.
Davis missed the Nov. 6 game against Memphis because of it. The good news is that he isn't on the injury report because of the eye injury he suffered against the Toronto Raptors on Monday. Davis exited the game in the third quarter after Jakob Poeltl poked him in the eye while the Lakers guard blocked his shot.
Davis didn't return. According to coach JJ Redick. his star player couldn't see from his left eye. As per ESPN's Dave McMenamin, Davis got his eye examined by an ophthalmologist after he developed swelling following contact with Poletl.
During Tuesday's media availability, Davis said the doctors cleared him to play.
