Giannis Antetokounmpo is available to play against the Philadelphia 76ers. The Milwaukee Bucks' All-Star forward, despite being listed on the injury report with right patella tendinitis, has recovered and will be available for the game.

The Bucks star was a mainstay on the team's injury report for a similar knee issue for most of last season before a calf injury overtook that problem and resulted in his absence during the playoffs.

Nevertheless, the knee injury seems like a minor issue for now, and Giannis should ideally be able to play against the 76ers.

Giannis Antetokounmpo stats vs. Philadelphia 76ers

Giannis could suit up for a 36th career game vs. the 76ers on Wednesday. In his 35 previous outings, he has tallied 24.8 points, 11.6 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.6 blocks against the Bucks' conference rivals, shooting 52.5%. Giannis boasts an impressive 27-8 record against the 76ers.

In his most recent game against Philadelphia on March 14, 2024, he torched them with 32 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists, shooting 9 of 12. The Bucks won that tie 114-105 and claimed the season series against Joel Embiid and Co.

Wednesday could be a similar outcome for Giannis. The Sixers will be without Embiid, who is out because of injury management. Paul George is also sidelined. The 76ers don't have the frontcourt depth to contain Giannis' dominance in the paint.

Giannis Antetokounmpo didn't seem to miss a step in preseason

Bucks fans will be hyped to see Giannis Antetokounmpo back in action, especially after his preseason exploits. The 2021 NBA champion played only twice but averaged 22.0 ppg, 8.5 rpg and 3.0 apg, shooting 51.6%. Coming off a stellar quarterfinal Olympic run with Greece, the "Greek Freak" is in tremendous shape and rhythm, as always, to start the new season.

The Bucks could use an explosive start to the year and look to secure another top-three finish for the seventh consecutive season.
