Joel Embiid returned to on-court action on Tuesday against the New York Knicks. The Philadelphia 76ers star missed the first nine games, managing his left knee injury for the first six and serving a suspension for the last three games. The 76ers play again on Wednesday against the unbeaten Cleveland Cavaliers. However, Embiid remains iffy to suit up on the second night of a back-to-back. After claiming at the start of the season that he would skip playing back-to-backs, he took a U-turn on that decision after his season debut."I want to. That's up to those guys [the medical staff]. I mean, I know I said I would never play back-to-backs, but I'm a troll," Embiid said."So, I'm sure at some point I'll play. I feel good. I feel good right now. We're gonna see, but it's up to them."Embiid can be considered day-to-day for now, and the Sixers will likely take a call on his availability based on how his knee reacts before Wednesday's game.On Tuesday, he looked rusty and out of shape after getting no in-game reps before his comeback. Embiid could only tally 13 points on 2-of-11 shots. He went 8 of 8 from the free throw line. He added three rebounds and five assists. The 76ers lost 111-99 against their division rivals, dropping to 2-8 on the season.Joel Embiid stats vs. Cleveland CavaliersJoel Embiid has played 19 games against the Cavaliers this season.
