Is Joel Embiid playing tonight against Miami Heat? | February 27th, 2023 | 2022-23 NBA Season

Joel Embiid is playing at an MVP level but is often seen upset after a heartbreaking loss. He plays his heart out in most games but the opposition still finds a way to overcome his heroics.

The Cameroonian big man dropped 41 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 blocks against the rival Boston Celtics, but Jayson Tatum's game-winner spoiled the fun at Wells Fargo Center. He made a heave from near full court to win the game but the ball left his hands after the buzzer so the almost-miraculous shot didn't count.

As we get closer to April, each game has started to hold more weight, especially if you're playing against conference rivals. Games get more intense as teams are aware of the playoff-seeding implications. The 3rd-seeded Philadelphia 76ers seem secure at the moment, but are playing against a team with a chip on their shoulder.

The Miami Heat are the 7th seed in the East and are desperately trying to get out of the play-in tournament spots. Tonight is the first game of a two-game mini-series with the next matchup scheduled for March 2nd in Florida.

The Heat are on a four-game losing streak and one can expect them to play with added motivation against the Sixers.

Joel Embiid is not listed on the injury report ahead of tonight's game against the Miami Heat. Interestingly, this is the first time the two teams will face off this season.

The Philadelphia 76ers have a majorly clean injury report. The only player absent from the lineup is Dewayne Dedmon, who has been ruled out due to soreness in his left hip.

The Miami Heat, on the other hand, are dealing with a bevy of injuries. Tyler Herro and Kyle Lowry are questionable and recently-acquired Kevin Love is listed as probable while Omer Yurtseven and Nikola Jovic are ruled out.

The Sixers need to turn it up a notch and win battles against their conference rivals. Many analysts are suggesting they aren't ready for a title run, but the team is still hunting for another gear and Embiid cannot do all the heavy lifting.

Additionally, Joel Embiid is leading the league in scoring once again. He is averaging 33.1 points per game and although the scoring title is not his goal, another monster game would help secure the honor.
