Phoenix Suns supporters have not been able to see their talented team in full flow so far.

With a studded roster containing Chris Paul, Devin Booker and now Kevin Durant, the Suns are suddenly one of the favorites to land the NBA championship this season. Still, there is some cause for concern as Durant has till now only played a single game for the Phoenix Suns.

Durant underwent a knee injury in January and recently made his debut for the Suns against the Charlotte Hornets. He hit the ground running in an easy victory which saw him return with 23 points, six rebounds and two assists. Durant scored two-thirds of his field goals on the night and sunk 50% of his four 3-point attempts.

Things are only going to get better for the Phoenix Suns as Durant will have another opportunity to showcase his skills when the Suns face off against the Chicago Bulls in their upcoming game. The player is not listed in the official injury report, was fit enough to start the last game and is expected to suit up for this one as well.

Kevin Durant expected to help Phoenix Suns to the NBA championship?

An easier Western Conference this time around has seen Nikola Jokic’s Denver Nuggets (44-19) dominate the top spot. LeBron James and the LA Lakers (30-33) have had consistent issues and are not expected to be in the reckoning. With a star-studded lineup, Kevin Durant could just be the addition that gets Phoenix Suns (34-29) fans dreaming again.

Although it wasn't the most spectacular debut for someone of his caliber, it was enough to secure a win for his team. This will be Durant's third encounter with the Bulls this season, having lost both previous games while playing for the Nets, despite scoring 32 and 44 points in those games.

While it remains to be seen whether the Suns will secure another blowout victory with a healthy Kevin Durant in the lineup, the task for the 29-34 Bulls will be much more challenging.

KD's return is a significant boost for the Suns, who are already considered one of the best teams in the West. Durant is a consummate professional and is not someone who takes a long time to adjust to a new team, so his presence will only make the Suns more formidable.

Regardless, fans will be hoping Kevin Durant can keep himself fit for the more crucial parts of the season.
