LA Lakers star forward LeBron James made history against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night, passing Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to become the NBA’s all-time leading scorer.

James now sits at 38,390 career points and counting. However, it appears that James may have to wait longer than expected to extend his new scoring record. This comes as James is currently listed as questionable to play against the Milwaukee Bucks tonight due to left ankle soreness.

James has played in four straight games before tonight. He has averaged 29.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 6.8 assists, and 1.0 steals per game on 52.3% shooting over that four-game span.

Overall, James has played in 44 of the Lakers’ 55 games this season. He is averaging 30.2PPG, 8.5RPG, 7.0APG and 1.0SPG on 50.8% shooting through 44 games.

Considering that James is in year 20 and is 38 years old, it would be understandable if he takes an additional game off. However, the Lakers (25-30, 13th in the Western Conference) will likely need their star veteran if they hope to defeat Milwaukee. The Bucks enter tonight's game sitting at 37-17 and second in the Eastern Conference.

The Lakers have been slightly better with James in the team. In the 11 games that James has missed, the Lakers have gone just 4-7. Meanwhile, in the 44 games that James has played in, the Lakers have gone 21-23.

LA has also played one game against Milwaukee this season, back on Dec. 2. The game marked one of the Lakers' biggest statement wins of the season as they came away with a 133-129 road victory. However, prior to that game, the Bucks had won three consecutive games against the Lakers and nine of their last 11.
