Despite another appearance on the injury report, the five-time NBA All-Star is expected to suit up as Dallas aims to close the Thunder at home and make its second conference finals appearance in three years.

What happened to Luka Doncic?

Doncic was on the Mavericks' injury report, citing a right knee sprain and left ankle soreness. He endured the knee injury against the Clippers in Game 2 and hasn't seemed to fully recover from it. Doncic collided with Russell Westbrook on a drive, leading to the injury.

Luka Doncic 2024 NBA Playoffs Stats vs. OKC Thunder

Luka Doncic's 2024 NBA Playoffs Western Conference semis against the OKC Thunder has been far from a smooth ride. He hasn't struggled more in a playoff series before. Nevertheless, Doncic has put up 23.8 points, 10.6 rebounds and 8.4 assists, shooting 42.4%, 35.0% from 3 and 67.7% from the free throw line.

While the scoring and shooting numbers are subpar by his standards, they are still respectable and probably the best for many lead players on other teams. Doncic also bounced back in the 104-92 Game 5 win, tallying 31 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists, shooting 54.5%, including 45.5% from 3.

He also had a clutch block against Shai Gilegous-Alexander with a minute left, which significantly helped the Mavericks close the game.

Doncic and the Mavericks will hope that it was a sustainable comeback performance, which could be replicated with a chance to advance on the line. A loss will swing the momentum back in OKC's favor, who will get to play Game 7 at home.
