Steph Curry dropped 50 points on a 20-28 efficiency against the LA Clippers on Wednesday night. Surprisingly, the Golden State Warriors have ruled him questionable for their matchup against the Atlanta Hawks tonight due to a sore left thumb.
If Curry sustained the injury versus the Clippers, he certainly did not show any hint of it during the game. Aside from his 50-point explosion, he also grabbed two rebounds, dished out six assists and came up with two steals.
The injury must have been significant enough that the Golden State Warriors had to limit him during Thursday's practice. Golden State’s medical staff will be keeping a close eye on him during this morning’s shootaround.
The injury is the latest that Steph Curry has had to deal with this season. Curry has played just 44 of the Warriors’ 70 games due to a slew of injuries. He had a shoulder injury in December against the Indiana Pacers, which forced him to sit out for 13 games.
The two-time NBA MVP also injured his leg/shin on February 4 versus the Dallas Mavericks. Golden State kept him sidelined for 11 games before returning against the LA Lakers on March 5.
