Stephen Curry looks on during Golden State Warriors vs. Los Angeles Lakers

The Golden State Warriors and Stephen Curry are headed to Los Angeles to face the LA Clippers in hopes of winning their third consecutive game.

The Warriors have struggled on the road with a 7-26 record and eight consecutive losses away from home. However, they are currently on a two-game winning streak that includes an impressive victory against the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Clippers, on the other hand, have an 18-15 record at home. Both teams have the same record, 36-33, going into the game, and the winner will gain an advantage in the Western Conference standings. The Warriors have won two of their three previous games against the Clippers and will be looking to secure the tiebreaker advantage with a win.

Stephen Curry missed 11 games until the start of March due to partial tears in his lower left leg. However, since then, he has started the Warriors’ last five games and is currently on a bit of a tear. He celebrated his 35th birthday on March 14 and, considering the importance of the game, can be expected to feature in the starting lineup tonight.

Stephen Curry has been averaging 29.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 6.3 assists while shooting 49.7 percent from the field and 43.6 percent from 3-point range.

Stephen Curry is an MVP contender at the age of 35

There is little doubt that Stephen Curry still has a chance of winning his third MVP title this season. Apart from his stellar numbers, he has carried his team to mulitple victories this season. The same has been true for many years now. Considering the way the Western Conference has opened up, Curry and the Warriors are still title contenders and only need to ensure that their stars keep fit.

Steve Kerr recently claimed that it is an honor to watch Curry work, and that he expects the player to continue delivering for a number of years. Curry also recently received praise from Draymond Green, who claimed he was one of the most impactful players in NBA history.

While not a lot of players are capable of delivering such numbers post-35, Curry spoke about how NFL stars such as Tom Brady have inspired him to work hard. Of course, that will be required if Stephen Curry is to fulfill his Kerr’s expectations in the coming time. For the time being, of course, the Golden State Warriors will hope that their star players can remain fit and lead them to one more serious title charge.
