Jalen Rose on if Kyrie Irving should face discipline for promoting antisemitism: “One thing Adam Silver do is measure twice and cut once”

Brooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving has found himself in hot water yet again. After posting a tweet on social media that appeared to promote antisemitism, Irving has drawn public criticism.

The superstar has had his fair share of off-court incidents over the years. Irving missed most last season after firmly refusing to receive the vaccination. Throughout his tenure with the Nets, Kyrie has ended up in the news for the wrong reasons.

With the most recent incident, many are wondering if any disciplinary action will follow. Not only have the Brooklyn Nets not punished Irving, but the NBA hasn't as well. Some believe that the NBA should step in and discipline Irving.

"One thing I've seen (NBA commissioner) Adam Silver do is measure twice and cut once. ... I think what he's doing is allowing the team to legislate this," ESPN analyst Jalen Rose said on "Jalen & Jacoby."

The national spotlight has once again found itself centered on Kyrie Irving. It's become a recurring theme for the Brooklyn Nets guard and for the wrong reasons. Irving has the ability to be one of the NBA's top point guards.

At the same time, his off-the-court antics have painted a dark cloud over the Nets organization.

Brooklyn came into last season as favorites to make a run at an NBA championship. Instead, the team had to win a play-in tournament game in order to secure a spot in the playoffs. But then Brooklyn got swept in the opening round by the Boston Celtics.

Throughout the offseason, speculation hinted that Irving could be on his way out. Instead, Kyrie opted into his player option for this season. The 30-year-old guard is set to make north of $36.5 million this year, one that is most likely his last with the team.

While it's early in the season, it's been a disastrous start for Irving and the Nets (2-6). The team had lost four in a row before Monday night's victory against the Indiana Pacers. To make matters worse, the Nets fired coach Steve Nash on Tuesday. In his first game after the Nash announcement, Irving had just four points with six rebounds and seven assists in 33 minutes.

Brooklyn will continue to be one of the league's most talked about teams. Forward

Kevin Durant had requested a trade from the organization in the summer summer. After no trade came into fruition, Durant and the front office agreed to move forward for this season.

With the recent developments involving Nash and Kyrie Irving, time will tell if Brooklyn decides to revisit those talks. If the Nets don't get back on track in a hurry, they could find themselves in a hole too big to dig out of.
