The Houston Rockets have put Jimmy Butler and the Warriors in a difficult situation after securing Game 6 of their first-round series on Friday and forcing a Game 7. The Warriors have nearly repeated history as they blew off a commanding 3-1 lead in the series.

The last time they did this, a LeBron James-led Cleveland Cavaliers defeated them in the final game and ended up becoming the 2016 NBA champions. Such Game 7s call for the big players who are the best in the league and can keep their heads calm even in the most intense and pressured situations.

Luckily, the Warriors have two of those players in Steph Curry and Jimmy Butler. While Curry's heroics are well-known around the community, let's take a dive into Butler's performances in these situations.

Jimmy Butler shares his thoughts on the "Playoff Jimmy" moniker

Jimmy Butler is one of the best-performing players in the league right now. However, over the course of his career, fans and analysts have noticed a spike in the six-time All-Star's performance when he is in the playoffs. The continued delivery of great performances in the playoffs has earned him the nickname, "Playoff Jimmy".

However, the Warriors star called the moniker a facade in an interview with ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk last week.

"Man, I think it's a facade that people have created over the years," Butler said. "I know what I'm capable of. I can tell you that. And I love it because everybody thinks I just take it up a notch and I don't really just take it up a notch."

Whether "Playoff Jimmy" is a facade or not, the six-time All-Star will have to show up in all his might in the decisive game on Sunday.
