The Golden State Warriors needed Jimmy Butler to put on a "Playoff Jimmy" performance in Game 4 of their Western Conference semifinals against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday. However, Butler failed to lead his team to a win as the Warriors suffered their third straight loss to go down 1-3 in the series in the absence of Steph Curry.
In the post-game interview, head coach Steve Kerr gave his candid take on Butler's Game 4 performance. Kerr also shared that he expects the star forward to step up in the upcoming must-win game.
"He wasn't as aggressive tonight, but I didn't see a lot of openings either," Kerr said. "Ideally, we could put more shooting around him to open up the floor a little bit, but with Steph out, we are not gonna be able to do as much of that."

"With that said, we'll look at the tape and see where we can find some openings for him, and I know he will be aggressive for Game 5."

Jimmy Butler concluded the Warriors' 117-110 home loss with 14 points, six rebounds, three assists and a block. The six-time NBA All-Star attempted just nine shots in the game, making five of them and had little involvement compared to his usual outings for the team, earning him a game-worst -30 plus/minus.
Warriors fans trash Jimmy Butler for underwhelming performance in Game 4 loss
Jimmy Butler failed to step up as required for the Golden State Warriors' crucial Game 4 matchup on Monday. Reacting to his underwhelming performance, frustrated Warriors fans took to X, formerly Twitter, to critcize Butler.
"Lost his Batman and playing worse than Robin," a fan tweeted.
"Never seen bro play so scared before," a fan tweeted.
"Give it 48 hours before he throws another tantrum and demands a trade to the Spurs," a fan tweeted.
"Should change his name to ‘Passive Butler I’. Guess 60 mil’s not enough," a fan tweeted.
"I guess he lost his joy again when he lost Steph Curry 💀" a fan tweeted.
"Playoff Jimmy is no longer a thing," a fan tweeted.
With Steph Curry unlikely to return for Game 5 in Minnesota on Wednesday, Jimmy Butler must take charge and be aggressive to keep the Warriors' season alive. If they pull off the win in the upcoming matchup, Curry's official timeline for return is for Game 6.
