On Friday, Joel Embiid and Tyrese Haliburton, who will be competing for Team USA in Group C, attended the 2024 Paris Olympic Opening Ceremony. In a video captured by Tyrese Haliburton from Friday's Opening Ceremony, Joel Embiid can be seen sporting his Team USA blazer while waving an American flag.

From behind the camera, Haliburton can be heard telling Embiid to give him his passport, prompting a three-word zinger from the former MVP, who replied:

"I'm American man"

Haliburton posted the video to his Instagram story, along with a caption calling Embiid Captain America.
