Kawhi Leonard's comments on regular season basketball enrage Chris Broussard: "Horrible look for him, Clippers and the NBA!"

LA Clippers superstar Kawhi Leonard has struggled to stay on the court in the 2022-23 season. After dealing with setbacks from his previous injury rehabilitation, Leonard is focused on being healthy for the NBA playoffs.

The superstar forward has played in just nine games for the Clippers this year. Leonard missed the entire 2021-22 season after recovering from an ACL tear. Coming into the 2022-23 season, he was expected to be ready to go for the Clippers.

Unfortunately, Leonard's body hasn't responded the way that he has hoped. The superstar continues to work on his conditioning, with the hope of returning at a more consistent rate. Leonard's last performance was an impressive one, as he went on to finish with 25 points on 10-of-12 shooting against the Boston Celtics.

He made some comments after the game against the Celtics that drew some criticism.

"I don't want to be here tonight. I'm focusing on the end of the year. Playoff basketball," Leonard said.

While Leonard's frustration is obvious, his comments drew the attention of plenty in the media. One of those included sports analyst Chris Broussard. While appearing on "First Things First," Broussard said that Kawhi Leonard "belittling the regular season" is a bad look for all parties, including the NBA.

"Kawhi belittling the regular season is a HORRIBLE LOOK for him, the Clippers, and the NBA!"

The comments made by LA Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard are most likely going to be blown out of proportion. As Broussard admitted in his segment, he understood what Leonard was trying to say.

The superstar forward has been dealing with injuries over the last several seasons. With Leonard's body struggling to respond the way he had hoped, it's obviously starting to weigh heavily on the talented wing.

Moving forward, the hope is that Leonard can continue to progress when it comes to returning to the court at a full capacity. In his last four games, he has averaged 17.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.3 assists while shooting 47.3% from the field.

The LA Clippers were viewed as a potential championship contender in the Western Conference heading into the 2022-23 season. Although it's been a slow start to the year, the Clippers have a roster that can go toe-to-toe with any opponent.

They have won two straight games and will look to make it three in a row on Wednesday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Clippers currently find themselves at 16-13 on the year and have won three of their last five games.
