Kendrick Perkins lauds Kevin Durant on his 2-way performance for Brooklyn Nets: “He’s been in his bag like he got fries at the bottom”

Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets are on an eight-game winning streak that has caught the attention of the masses. Due to their recent ways of winning, his former teammate, Kendrick Perkins, commended the forward for his incredible playing habits.

The Nets' current win streak has a lot to do with Durant. He's only missed one game this season and has been a reliable source of scoring for the team. Perkins isn't shy about how impressed he's been with his former teammate and praised him on ESPN.

"The best damn basketball I've ever seen him play, and that even goes past when he won MVP with the Oklahoma City (Thunder in 2013-14). ... He's been in his bag like he got fries at the bottom," Perkins said.

"Listen, he's so efficient offensively, he's the greatest scorer to ever touch the basketball in my eyes. But I have been more impressed by what he's been doing on the defensive side of things."

"He has went back to the Kevin Durant that played defense alongside Draymond Green, when they were winning championships with the Golden State Warriors. Again, when it comes down to the Brooklyn Nets, I never question Kevin Durant. It's the others around him.

"But the basketball he's playing right now is the best basketball I've seen him play in his career."

Durant has played seven of the Nets' last eight games and was monumental for the most part. He averaged 30.1 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.9 assists while shooting 59.8%, including 42.9% from 3-point range, during the eight-game span. The 12-time All-Star has been a bright spot for Brooklyn this season.

Kevin Durant has been playing lights out this season, which has helped the Nets improve their record. After an abysmal start, Brooklyn is now in fourth place in the Eastern Conference with a 21-12 record. His play has led the team to a bright future where they can secure home-court advantage in the postseason.

Last season, they became one of the participants in the play-in tournament. In the first round of the playoffs, the Boston Celtics, a powerhouse team, obliterated Brooklyn in four games at the hands of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.
