The Brooklyn Nets have dealt with a lot of adversity ever since Kevin Durant, James Harden, Kyrie Irving, and Steve Nash took over the team. Although Harden and Nash aren't there anymore, there are still issues looming in Brooklyn.

Harden was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers for Ben Simmons. Simmons has been another guy that's known to bring drama to the team after his tough ending with the Sixers.

Kyrie Irving is serving a suspension by the Nets for posting an Amazon movie that many believed to be antisemitic. Weirdly enough, the team has now started to play better since he's been suspended.

Former NBA player and current analyst Kendrick Perkins took to Twitter to praise Kevin Durant for what he's been able to do without Irving.

"So I guess I’m the only person that see that the Nets has been playing free and with great Joy over their last 4 games. Don’t mind tho and Carry the hell on… Btw I love KD when he plays that Point Forward position!"

Perkins added on ESPN NBA Today that Kevin Durant is one of the best players in the world.

“Kevin Durant goes back to being the best player in the league conversation when he moved to that point forward position. We already know he's a walking bucket.
"We all get that, but when his playmaking ability, when he's able to make plays for others around him, and they put guys in position to be successful and guys that quote on quote aren't labeled superstars, it's a beautiful thing to see."

Given the type of success that Durant has found in his career, it's tough to argue with what Perkins is saying here. However, Durant continues to get better and it's been impressive the past few games.

Kevin Durant thinks he's one of the best of all time

Kevin Durant isn't someone that will ever hide how he feels. If someone ever says something to Durant, he will let them know on Twitter how he feels. At this point in his career, he's deserved to say whatever he wants.

Durant even believes that he's one of the top 10 players in NBA history and it would be tough to argue against that. There's even a good argument to be made that he's one of the top five players that's ever played the game.

In an interview back in March, Kevin Durant said it best about why he believes he's an all-time great:

“I put it like this,” he says. “If let’s say Michael Jordan and LeBron James had to pick and we were playing a five-on-five game, they’re picking me. I’m going to be a part of that 10 that’s playing in that game. That’s how I feel.”

Durant isn't short on confidence and rightfully so. Let's see what the Brooklyn Nets can continue doing without Irving on the court. If they can continue playing this way, there's a good chance that they will find themselves in a good position, unlike in previous seasons.
