NBA superstars are always excited at the chance to play in an All-Star game. That includes Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant.

Durant, who won two championships with the Golden State Warriors, has been a lethal two-way forward and one of the greatest to play the game.

In the latest chapter of his basketball career, KD decided to join the Brooklyn Nets. Since joining the Nets, Durant has had to deal with numerous injuries on a yearly basis. It's resulted in the superstar forward missing a number of important games over the years, including some All-Star appearances.

KD is set to be re-evaluated in two weeks after dealing with a previous MCL sprain. The hope is that he is set to return to the court before the All-Star break.

When asked about playing in the upcoming All-Star Game, Durant said he wants to play. He also referenced that he hasn't been able to play a regular-season game back in Golden State since he left for the Nets.

"Yeah, I want to play," Durant said. "I want to be a part of all these events. I missed going back to Golden State, my previous home. So, it’s been three years since I did that. You see all this stuff pass you by, so I want to participate in everything."

Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant has been one of the NBA's most competitive players. Because of this, Durant is often willing to participate in any potential game that presents an opportunity to play with the best talent.

After a slow start to the 2022-23 season for the Brooklyn Nets, Durant started to carry his team with his sensational play. It resulted in his team climbing as high as second place in the Eastern Conference standings.

The Nets (29-17) have fallen to fourth since Durant's injury, but their talented superstar is eyeing a return. Plus, they're only one game out of second place. If Durant can regain his previous level of play, the Nets will have the tools to be one of the league's most dangerous teams. For now, KD is set to be re-evaluated in two weeks, with hopes of playing in the 2023 All-Star Game.
