Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors had the last laugh as they spoiled Klay Thompson's return to the Bay Area with a thrilling 120-117 win on Tuesday. Curry had an electric night with 37 points as the Warriors started their Emirates NBA Cup campaign on a winning note. The emotionally charged victory also saw fans declare the Chase Center as Curry's home.

On the game front. Curry ended his evening with 37 points, six rebounds, and nine assists on 14-27 shooting from the field and 5-12 from 3-point line. Klay Thompson had 22 points, four rebounds, and three assists on 7-17 shooting from the field and 6-12 from beyond the arc.


Steph Curry hits new milestone after massive game vs Mavericks

Steph Curry's vintage performance on Tuesday night saw him join the pantheon of NBA greats as he reached a special milestone. The guard joined LeBron James and Michael Jordan, the only other players in the league aged 36 or older to have consecutive 35-point games.

The 4x NBA champion propped up 36 points in his last game against the OKC Thunder. He also added five rebounds and seven assists. The mercurial sharpshooter is averaging 22.0 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 6.3 assists so far this season.

The Warriors will look to Curry to continue his stellar production and aim to consolidate on their 9-2 run in the West. The win over Dallas sees them take the top spot in the stacked Western Conference with the Suns and the Thunder tying them to take second and third place.

Curry and the Warriors will continue their NBA Cup skirmish as they host the Memphis Grizzlies next on November 15. They later hit the road for a matchup against the LA Clippers.
