As per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Celtics big man could have made a return for Game 4 but the franchise thinks there is no need for it. According to a new report, now that the Celtics are 3-0 in the series, they will focus on their big man having a complete recovery before bringing him back on the court.

The Celtics have only one game to win before they punch their ticket to the NBA Finals. If they sweep the Pacers in Game 4, they will have an extended break to rest Porzingis, giving him more time to be ready for the most important series of the season.

What happened to Kristaps Porzingis?

Kristaps Porzingis has not played since suffering a calf strain injury in Game 4 of the first-round playoff series against the Miami Heat. On April 26 Apri, the 7-foot-2 Celtics star twisted his ankle and was seen walking uncomfortably for a few possessions.

However, soon that pain became unbearable and he signalled for substitution. Porzingis left the court limping, and it was revealed that he had strained his calf.
