The LA Lakers are buckling up for their second game of a back-to-back against the LA Clippers on Wednesday evening. It's a crucial game for the LA rivals who each have 41-38 records as they battle for the sixth seed in the Western Conference. It'll also be interesting to see how Clippers guard Russell Westbrook fares against his old team.

However, Anthony Davis, LeBron James and D'Angelo Russell are listed as questionable for Wednesday's game.

"D-Lo" suffered left foot soreness on Sunday against the Houston Rockets. Davis was recently marked as probable due to right foot stress. James could also be sidelined to rest the right foot injury that kept him out for over a month.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported on "Sportscenter" that the LA Lakers' big three are likely to play against the Clippers. The worst-case scenario is that only D'Angelo Russell will play.

NBA insider Shams Charania reported that Anthony Davis and LeBron James have been cleared to play on Wednesday. Whatever the case may be, it's important that the Lakers' big three all play against the Clippers. Securing the win will not only put the Purple and Gold in a better placement, but it will also give the Lakers more momentum heading into the playoffs.

When the 2022-23 season began, everyone questioned whether or not the LA Lakers could become contenders in the league again. Despite historic performances from Anthony Davis, LeBron James and Russell Westbrook, the Lakers went 33-49 in 2021-22 and then began this season 2-10.

However, ever since the Lakers organization decided to go a different direction and finally let go of Westbrook, things have started to change for the better. LA evolved into one of the best defensive teams in the NBA today. They are ranked second in defense.

The big three of Anthony Davis, LeBron James, and D'Angelo Russell are also undefeated when playing together (5-0). Having that kind of stat line, it's proven that the trio can truly deal damage and become a threat in the West.
