Lakers' #41 Quincy Olivari drops 2-word message while giving proof of LeBron James poster in his room 

LA Lakers rookie Quincy Olivari reflected on having a Fathead poster of his superstar teammate LeBron James on his wall growing up. Afterward, the undrafted guard proved his James fandom by sharing a photo of his childhood room on social media.

Olivari rose to prominence during the preseason after going viral for his unexpectedly strong play. Many took notice of the then-unknown No. 41 lighting it up offensively for the veteran LA squad.

The rookie's standout production earned him a two-way contract last month. While he hasn't played a regular-season contest for the Lakers, Olivari has turned heads with the organization's G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers. Through four appearances, he is averaging 23.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 4.0 3-pointers per game.

On Thursday's episode of the "Certified Gs" G League podcast, Olivari spoke about his journey to the NBA. He recounted his grandfather gifting him a LeBron James Cleveland Cavaliers Fathead during the superstar forward's first stint with the franchise in the 2000s.

Upon the episode's release, Olivari took to Instagram to substantiate his recollection. He shared a photo of his James Fathead in his childhood room, quipping in his caption that he wasn't lying to fans.

"No cap," Olivari wrote.

Per Olivari, he also watched James play for Cleveland and the Miami Heat in person, making his experience as the four-time MVP's teammate extra meaningful.

During his podcast appearance, Quincy Olivari touched on his adjustment to being on the same squad as LeBron James and his co-star Anthony Davis.

Olivari noted that he was initially star-struck but has since acclimated to his new job and embraces challenging the Lakers superstars.

"The first few days or so when I was at the facility and seeing everybody, I was like, 'Oh, snap, that's Bron, that's AD,'" Olivari said. "But I've been here, like that's my coworkers. We go to work every day. When we practice against each other, I'm trying to kill you the same way you're trying to kill me."

Olivari's remarkable G League output and confidence in LA's practices should bode well for his chances of cracking the Lakers' regular-season rotation.
