Larsa Pippen reveals her dad's texts disapproving her daring snap: "You need to take it down"

Larsa Pippen has reportedly deleted an Instagram photo at the request of her father this week. Heading into the weekend, the Real Housewives of Miami Star decided to post a bikini photo on Instagram, earning plenty of attention. However, the post didn't remain up for long.

After disclosing details of her sex life with Marcus Jordan during a TV appearance earlier in the week, Pippen followed it up with a provocative photo. While the photo was simply Pippen posing in a bikini, the Real Housewives of Miami star had one of her legs on a beach chair.

On the heels of the TV appearance earlier this week, she has now discussed the controversial and risque Instagram post with PEOPLE:

“My dad sent me a text yesterday and said, ‘You published a photo and I think you need to take it down.’ And when my dad texts me stuff like that, I listen! I just didn’t want to upset him. It wasn’t worth me not making him happy at that moment.”

As she went on to explain, her family is very traditional, and as a result, she has always been the one to push boundaries. In the case of the Instagram post in question, however, it sounds like she had no problems with her dad's perspective.

Larsa Pippen opens up on conversation with her father about risque photo

Larsa Pippen has already been in the headlines for sharing details about her personal life. Earlier in the week, when she and her boyfriend, Marcus Jordan, appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, she opened up in a different way.

The host asked her to defend sharing details of her sex life during the Real Housewives of Miami reunion, with Pippen revealing even more info. As she explained, at the time of the Real Housewives of Miami reunion, she was having sex several times a day.

As she stated on Watch What Happens Live, she and Marcus Jordan have sex five times a day, leaving both host Andy Cohen and fans stunned. With her latest photo, Pippen has now once again made headlines.

In a TMZ segment on Friday, Harvey Levin spoke about the image, with a blacked-out box covering the groin region of Pippen's photo. In addition, he relayed some information about the photo and how Larsa's father reacted.

"Her dad is lashing out, saying this is inappropriate for her to do, I have a huge problem with her dad talking to an adult in their 40s saying, you shouldn't do this, you shouldn't do that. She's an adult. You raised her. You gave her the guidance you needed to get true. Let her live her life."

As the TMZ founder also pointed out, many comments under Pippen's post were quick to point out the risque nature of the photo as well.
