The Las Vegas Aces defeated the Washington Mystics 75-72 on Friday at Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas.
Jackie Young led the Aces with 25 points and five rebounds on 7-for-15 shooting, including 2-for-6 from the 3-point line. Chelsea Gray scored 17 on 7-for-17 shooting (2-for-8 on 3-pointers). A'ja Wilson added 15 points, 12 rebounds and five assists on 5-for-13 shooting.
Sonia Citron led the Mystics with 19 points and five rebounds on 6-for-11 shooting, including 4-for-6 from 3-point range. Kiki Iriafen finished with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Jade Melbourne scored 14 on 4-for-11 shooting, including 2-for-5 from downtown. Sug Sutton added 10 points

The Aces (2-1) have won two straight games, while the Mystics lost their second consecutive game and dropped to 2-2 this season.

Both teams will return to action on Sunday. The Aces will visit the Seattle Storm at Climate Pledge Arena, while the Phoenix Mercury will host the Mystics at PHX Arena.

At the end of the first quarter, the Washington Mystics had an 18-16 lead over the Las Vegas Aces.
The Mystics increased their lead to 10 (28-18) in the second quarter. They outscored the Aces 24-17 in the period and had a 42-33 at the break. Kiki Iriafen led Washington with 11 points and seven rebounds in the first half. Stefanie Dolson added eight points on 3-for-6 shooting.
Chelsea Gray and Jackie Young each scored nine points for Las Vegas, while A'ja Wilson had seven points and six rebounds in the first half.
Washington had a nine-point lead (59-50) after three quarters. In the fourth quarter, Las Vegas' 7-0 run cut the lead to two (68-66) with two minutes left.
Young tied the game at 72 with 11.6 seconds remaining. On the following possession, the Mystics' Jade Melbourne was fouled but was overturned. Jewell Loyd hit the game-winning 3-pointer from the corner off a pass from Wilson.
