LeBron James' injury has continued to make headlines this week. During the team's 120-117 win over the New Orleans Pelicans last Wednesday, James could be seen sitting on the sidelines with his shoe off in apparent pain. Although he returned to the floor for a total of 39 minutes played, King James was unable to play his natural game.

The following game against the Utah Jazz, James once again played over 30 minutes. Despite that, the very next night against the Utah Jazz, James was listed out with a foot injury. It was something that NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe noticed and spoke about on an episode of UNDISPUTED this week.

The way Sharpe saw things, James just didn't look like himself out there on the floor last week. From a lack of explosiveness to an inability to make it down the court at his usual speed, LeBron James' injury seemed to be bothering the Lakers star. Given that, many have wondered whether he will be forced to sit out in the upcoming 'battle of LA' on Wednesday night.

You can watch Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless discussing LeBron in the video below.

LeBron James' Injury and Status for LA Clippers Game

Fortunately, it sounds as though James will be good to go for Wednesday night's game against the Clippers.

According to a report from Sports Illustrated, James is listed as probable for the game. This is a good sign considering he reportedly dealt with an illness in addition to the foot injury that had been plaguing him.

While it sounds as though he will be in action for Wednesday's game against the Clippers, there's still plenty of cause for concern in LA.

LeBron James' Injury history with the Lakers

Since joining the Lakers prior to the start of the 2018-19 season, James has continued to battle injuries. In his first season with the team, he played in a career-low 55 games. It marked the first time throughout the course of his storied career that the Akron native played in less than 60 games.

The following year, despite being forced to manage injuries, James played in 67 games en route to a championship for the Lakers. At the time, it seemed as though his injury woes were behind him, however, that was far from the case. The following season, James appeared in 45 games - a new career low. Last season it was more of the same, with James playing in just 56 games.

Although LeBron James is without a doubt a generational talent, it seems as though in recent years his age has begun to catch up to him. While he was known for his durability in his younger years, he now seems to be struggling with lingering lower-body injuries.

Considering the 37-year-old is currently in the midst of his 20th season in the league, it's not entirely surprising that injuries have begun to pop up. With that said, if the Lakers have any hope of making a playoff push, James will once again have to count on being healthy.
