LeBron James and the LA Lakers faced the Toronto Raptors in their third consecutive road game on Friday. James and the Lakers came from their second loss in their five-game road trip. Going up against the Raptors, LA hoped to regroup and regain the momentum they gained in their first three games.

The Lakers had a good start in the first quarter. LeBron started the game with a three-pointer from the corner, which led to the team's 7-0 run in the first minute. Before checking out of the opening period, James added five more points. "King James" then came back late in the first quarter and continued to dominate on offense.

LeBron was perfect from three-point land, which set up the team's narrative in the first quarter. LA secured a huge 43-19 lead with their efficient 69.6% accuracy in shooting.

In the second quarter, the Lakers were slightly sloppier on defense, allowing the Raptors to catch up a bit. James, who had a hot start, cooled down a bit on offense. He only added 4 points.

However, LeBron was remarkable in playmaking as he dished four assists in the second quarter alone, setting up Anthony Davis and Dalton Knecht in several highlight plays. Fortunately, Davis continued to remain consistent on offense for the Lakers. This resulted in maintaining LA’s lead, ending the first half with a score of 76-51.

Come the third quarter, LeBron James continued to play facilitator in the first few minutes. He kept setting up Anthony Davis, who has been hot for the LA Lakers since opening night. However, the All-Star duo’s efforts weren’t enough as they nearly lost their lead.

The Toronto Raptors nearly completed a comeback, cutting the deficit to 11 points at the end of the third with a score of 99-88. Ultimately, the Lakers came out on top 131-125. Toronto didn’t go down without a fight as Gradey Dick and RJ Barrett gave LA a run for their money.

Fortunately, Davis remained consistent until the end for the Lakers. D’Angelo Russell also found his rhythm late in the fourth to help the Purple and Gold get back in the win column. As for LeBron, he finished with a double-double performance with 27 points and 10 assists.

The LA Lakers got back in the win column as they beat the Toronto Raptors 131-125 on Friday. It was another stellar performance by Anthony Davis as he put up 38 points, 12 rebounds, three steals, and two blocks. Davis has LeBron James to thank for his scoring performance as the “King” perfectly set him up throughout the game.

Aside from his remarkable playmaking, James also shot efficiently from the floor. LeBron has a 62.5% accuracy from beyond the arc and 52.9% overall. His double-double performance of 27 points and 10 assists helped the Purple and Gold remain on top throughout the game.
