Lakers fans go berserk after elimination Game 4 and streak-ending win vs Denver

LeBron James and LA Lakers fans were ecstatic after the team's 119-108 win over the Denver Nuggets in elimination Game 4 that also snapped an 11-game losing streak against the defending champs. The Lakers were counted out and expected to endure another sweep after going down 0-3.

However, the Lakers stormed back in Game 4, putting up a near-perfect all-around showing. They took a double-digit first-half lead for the fourth straight time. Unlike Games 1, 2 and 3, LA didn't flinch and give up a run to the Nuggets that swung the momentum.

LeBron James dropped 30 points, 14 in the fourth quarter, to seal the deal for his team, ensuring the Lakers didn't give up their massive advantage.

The Lakers avoiding a sweep and playing this well has inspired the team's fans to believe that a never-before 0-3 comeback could be in the works, as @sahilshahinvest wrote:

Nuggets vs. Lakers Game 4 recap as LA finally capitalizes on big lead

The Denver Nuggets and LA Lakers' Game 4 contest began like every other game in this series. The Lakers dominated the first quarter with a 28-23 lead, extending the advantage to 13 points. Anthony Davis had a monster outing in that stretch as he outplayed Nikola Jokic with 17 points and 11 rebounds on 8 of 10 shooting.

Meanwhile, Jokic had 15 points, eight rebounds and six assists on 5 of 10 shooting, with Davis primarily guarding the two-time NBA MVP. The key difference here was the Lakers' role players, playing just as well as their counterparts.

D'Angelo Russell, who went scoreless in Game 3, had seven points on 3 of 6 shooting. Meanwhile, Austin Reaves had 13 points on 5 of 11 shooting. The Nuggets had only 16 points from Michael Porter Jr., Aaron Gordon and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

History didn't repeat itself in the final two quarters as LeBron James and the Lakers kept the heat up. The defensive tenacity and play execution were impeccable, as LA barely had any loose possessions.

James and Davis led from the front as the former tallied 16 of his 30 points in the second half, while the latter dropped eight points, 12 rebounds and four assists. Davis found a way to impact the game despite the Nuggets limiting his scoring in that stretch.

Meanwhile, D'Angelo Russell's confidence grew as the game progressed as he tallied 14 points on 5 of 9 shooting in the final two quarters. The Lakers rebounded better behind Davis' 23-rebound night as he beat Nikola Jokic and Aaron Gordon on multiple second-chance efforts, matching their combined tally of 23 boards.
