As the Doc Rivers-led Milwaukee Bucks continue to slump, the prospects of top assistant Darvin Ham taking over the reins have come alive. Milwaukee dropped to 2-8 Sunday after losing 113-107 at home against the defending champions, the Boston Celtics. It was the Bucks' second loss against their Eastern Conference rivals this season.
LeBron James' friend, "Cuffs The Legend," posted a hilarious video with some commentary as the Bucks headed towards a loss. "Cuffs The Legend" said:
"Coach Ham, you're a couple more Bucks L's away from being promoted (laughs). Dumb and dumber. You're a couple more Bucks L's away coach, from getting your dream job."

The video had 26,000 views on "X." LeBron James' friend's commentary sparked speculation among fans that Ham is eyeing the Bucks' coaching role if Rivers gets fired.
One fan joked that Ham was looking at Rivers as if he knew the possible outcome if Rivers got fired.
"It’s him looking over at Doc with a smile like he knows that too lmao," the fan wrote.
Another fan mocked Darvin Ham's alleged bias towards Taurean Prince, which irked Lakers fans last season when he coached the team.
"His first move as coach. Benching giannis and making tauren prince take 25 shots a game," the fan wrote
One fan said that Ham will lead the Bucks when they face the Lakers on Mar. 13, 2025.
"Ham will be the bucks coach by the time they play the lakers."
"This tweet ain't lying," said another fan.
"when they fire Doc.. and promote him as HC, its 0-0," one fan wrote.
"It's all part of the "TP 40 MPG" plan," a fan added to the Taurean Prince joke.
Darvin Ham reportedly took the Bucks job over other offers assuming he will succeed Doc Rivers
Darvin Ham was a coveted assistant coach this offseason after the LA Lakers fired him as their coach after a two-year stint. Ham led the Lakers to a conference finals finish in 2023 and won the In-Season tournament the following year. He wasn't in consideration for a head coaching role despite a few vacancies, but the Suns and Bucks were among his top landing spots as an assistant.
His former coach, Mike Budenholzer, had signed with Phoenix as its new coach, and Ham was an assistant on the Bucks for four years between 2018 and 2022. He accepted the Bucks' role as a top assistant under Rivers over returning to Budenholzer's staff. But that wasn't it.
According to a report from NBA insider Gery Woelfel, few NBA sources said Ham took the Bucks coaching job, assuming he will succeed Doc Rivers.
Darvin Ham already has a good relationship with franchise centerpiece Giannis Antetokounmpo. According to Woelfel, Giannis also had a role in Ham's return. With things not looking solid for Milwaukee, a few more losses could fuel the former Lakers coach's prospects of replacing Rivers.
