“Lot of quick, bad shots”- Steve Kerr blasts his squad after a surprising home loss to the Wolves

Steve Kerr recently expressed his frustrations with the Golden State Warriors after his team lost against the Minnesota Timberwolves in a close 99-96 game on Sunday night. Kerr was displeased with the way the Warriors handled the ball. The players made a lot of inefficient shot attempts while hogging the ball from each other.

Steve Kerr was baffled by the fact that there was no ball rotation and his guys kept forcing shots instead of passing the ball to the open man. Kerr called out his team for being selfish and not being able to dissect Minnesota's solid defense. The Warriors coach himself said that the key to beating the Timberwolves was simply moving the ball around. Golden State is now back in the loss column.

As a result of their loss on Sunday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Golden State Warriors now have a 39-37 record. With only six games remaining in the regular season, however, the Warriors still haven't clinched a playoff spot. Given how close their record is compared to the 10th-placed OKC Thunder (37-38), there's still a possibility for Golden State to fall back into the Play-In tournament.

If the Warriors somehow lose all six of their remaining games, they might not even have a postseason to look forward to. Earlier this month, Steve Kerr confessed that he and his team aren't used to fighting for a playoff spot. If Golden State loses their next game against the New Orleans Pelicans, it's possible that they could rank down to 7th place, especially if the Wolves win again.

Having that in mind, if the Warriors end up in the Play-in tournament, Kerr's fear of fighting for a playoff spot might come true. The last time Golden State was in the Play-in was back in the 2020-21 season against the LA Lakers. Dub Nation ultimately lost that game against the Lakers, ending up losing an opportunity to participate in the playoffs.

Given how Steve Kerr and his team aren't used to that kind of pressure, we might see history repeat itself if they're not too careful in the remaining six games.
